After the great success of both Atlantis Quest and The Rise of Atlantis the 3rd installment seems also to become the next hit of this popular series. From the very beginning we plunge into the ancient times when Atlantis was created. It was a prosperous and peaceful city made from the powers of Poseidon. Many years have passed and Atlantis inhabitants forgot about their creator and didn’t worship him any more. Poseidon was very angry with his people and decided to punish them by sealing a magical undersea altar from which Atlantis city drew its power. Besides, he brought endless disasters to Atlantis lands. The only way to save residents now is to travel to seven exotic lands of Rome, Greece, Troy, Phoenicia, Babylon, Egypt and Carthage to acquire seven mysterious crystals of power. Appease Poseidon, the patron god of the Atlanteans, bring peace to these lands once again and save the legendary continent

The game play of Call of Atlantis actually divided into two parts with one involving a match-3 game and another one which involves seeking for hidden object. In match-3 part we meet traditional tile swapping when trying to restore broken artifacts by moving their parts to the bottom of the board. Your task is to collect all of the artifact parts before time runs out or you'll lose your life points each time you fail (you lose one heart in a game). Hidden object part can be also divided in two different kinds: first you should find all the pieces to get one of the artifacts and then, after all the artifacts of each level are rebuilt, you are to find their place on a certain scene.

Matching three and more tiles on the field, you can also collect different power-ups which will help you to pass through the level. Hourglasses, for example, give you additional time which can be very helpful, bombs are able to remove whole sections of tiles and lightning bolts that destroy all objects of a certain type. Matching four or more tiles can activate amulet of Poseidon, which is the most powerful and can take out multiple random tiles whenever you wish to use it. All power-ups help you overcome many obstacles, such as chained tiles, frozen tiles and unbreakable blocks.

As in two previous hits of Atlantis series, we enjoy superb visuals of background environments and supporting sound effects, which all together impart a sense of personality to this game.
