Review:
Many years ago a novel about the supernatural by Kate Reed brought her fame and honor in literary circles. But those happy days are long forgotten, and now Kate has to while away her evenings alone. No one of her colleagues asks her out, unless one day she finds a parcel on her porch. With the help of an odd typewriter which can type on its own, she receives an invitation to the school of mediums. Excited about an opportunity to attend a spiritual séance and talk to ghosts, she jumps into a taxi. Will this extraordinary story be her spring of inspiration for a new fiction book? Get the answer in this astonishing adventure game.House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets may look somewhat familiar if you have played Sacra Terra: Angelic Night. Some elements of interface, like arrows and the map signs let a player distinguish the unique style of the games by this developer. Should we expect this Hidden Object game became another hit or at least an equal to their previous work? Well, why not. At least the breathtaking plot let us count on that.

Just like in other HOGs of the kind you will have to wonder about the locations, collecting useful items and completing hidden object scenes. In this game they are even multilevel, as sometimes pop-ups should be opened to find an item marked in red. Hint button refills relatively quickly, so you won’t get bored awaiting if attention fails you. Mini-games and puzzles also don’t seem too challenging that makes the gameplay more dynamical. As you explore nicely drawn locations, you may stumble upon ghostly objects. Try to collect them all to receive a special bonus and check the map whenever you get lost.
Be the one who enters the legendary haunted mansion which serves the bridge between the dead and the alive. Comfort the spirits and meet the mysterious characters who reside in the wandering House of 1000 Doors.
