How to travel back in time — that is, of course, the most important question. People have solved the problem of time travel through various inventive means: sheer intellect, a rift in space, a long-lost tunnel, tapping into neutrinos, or a fantastically complicated machine are some of the mechanisms that time travelers use. In Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox we see the opening of time portal directly in uncle Jerome's house.

A time portal lets different modern objects pass through to locations across the globe and throughout history. As the main character, you are to travel back, find and gather all the items in order to set things right. Items that passed through the time portals have been divided into pieces, and once you find all of them and piece them together, it's added to your inventory to be used later. Uncle Jerome's Time Bomb was also lost to the portals, you should find and bring its pieces together in order to close the portals once and for all.

Travelling around the world you certainly notice some strange things and obvious mismatch of sights and locations. Am I going out of my mind or is it really Big Ben clock sticking out of the middle of the Nile River??? But stop! Look at the title of the game - Time Paradox is a key word here. So, now I see that everything is in a mess and our task is to fix all the things and put them to the places they belong. Not easy task, isn't it? Buthold fast your mouse and prepare for exciting adventure together with Mortimer and his uncle!

Together with Mortimer Beckett you will visit and explore eight different ages. Some of them, such as French Revolution and Ancient Egypt, are real historical eras where we can meet famous characters from the past. Other locations seem to be fictitious. In Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox not all of the misplaced items are confined to the same room. Various puzzles and objects are extented across several scenes in the same historical age. Actually, due to puzzles the game is so interesting to play. To solve puzzles you will need either information (you get it as a reward from kings and gods) or just your quick wits. You can find the information in your Notebook and look for the wits in your head - good luck!

Playing the game you can relax because there are no time limits and you are able to use an unlimited number of rechargeable hints. Also from the world map you can look at how many items are still waiting to be found in each specific scene. The scenes are visually rich and you will really enjoy amazing full screen graphics. Sounds are appropriate to each scene and perfectly comlement graphics.

Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox delivers a great casual puzzle adventure experience and if you like blends of hidden object and quest - it is your game.
